Any benefit using Cineform Rate Change over Adobe CS5's Interpret Footage?

Captured Footage = 29.970 on 5D mark II
Desired Footage = 23.976 for 20% reduction used for slow motion effect
Tools = Adobe Premiere CS5, Cineform HDlink

I transcode my footage using Cineform HDlink anyway (for 4.2.0 to 4.2.2 colour conversion). However, are there any advantages or disadvantages to using the 'Rate Change' feature in HDlink over the "Interpret Footage" feature in CS5?

I'm guessing they both do exactly the same thing with nothing added or taken away from either workflow.
I wonder if there is much change in filesize by incorporating the rate change feature in HDlink, but that wouldn't make any sense since all that's happening really is a change to the metadata (telling software at what speed to play the clip)

Anyone care to confirm this or suggest my thinking is flawed?!

Thank you!

They are exactly the same, yet we added it as many user either don't have that interpret footage feature in their NLE, or don't know that is it there. :)

The one advantage HDLink has is the auto audio resampling, but most rate changes don't use the audio.
