Suggestion: virtual copies in FirstLight

I would really like to see virtual copies in FirstLight.

FL would then create a reference .mov and just save the meta data for the virtual copy.

This way I could re-purpose footage many times without adding unnecessary weight to the hard drive.

This is a workflow that is very common in RAW editors for photos such as Lightroom and Aperture and it works really well.

That is what the FirstLight databases are for, "re-purpose footage many times" for different projects with different looks.

Ah, OK, sounds good.

I'll look into that!

But that means that I can have a folder with master CF clips and from those create many databases referencing these clips, where each database has it's own discrete metadata?

That'll work...
