Black Mark in Cineform converted footage

1 Attachment(s)
A couple of days ago, I download the new Cineform Neo to replace my HeoHD.

Last night I downloaded Technicolor's new Picture Style, and their .lut files too.

I unzipped the lut file, and clicked on it, so I could sse if Firstlight mounted the .lut. I went into Firstlight, and it was showing there, but when I clicked on it for a lut in one my files, the image was all red. So i selected none in the files.

In coverting subsequent footage from Canon 5d, all the converted footage is marred by a short black pillar on the Left side. I was also have trouble even before installing the .lut with renders showing extranious material on the right side.

I am attaching a copy of frame showing the black mark.

Anybody have any idea what's going on or having a similar problem ?

I just tried the Technicolor Cinestyle profile on my 60D and I'm not seeing any problems like you're having after converting it with 5.5.0.318. I do see the same all red image when I use the supplied .lut file though. I've attached the .lut if anyone from Cineform wants to take a look at it.

If Overlay is checked you will get a black box like the one in your still frame. Open FirstLight, load a clip and check for a tick mark in the Overlay box. If present, click on it to clear the box and the black rectangle should go away. Your converted video should be OK.

Cineform has very useful metadata that can be displayed through a number of different programs. It is worth your time to learn how it works.

Thanks Roger, I will check it out. I may have inadvertantly done something like that. Thank you..
