Convert to Cineform to provide more depth when editing?
When editing footage which needs extensive color correction, is it beneficial to convert it to Cineform 4:4:4 prior to color correction? I realize this isn't the same as shooting in 4:4:4, that it it doesn't create more color information. But does it allow converted footage to be pushed farther when color correcting before it breaks down?

You don't need to convert to 4:4:4. The systray CineForm controller has the menu Decoder Settings->Filter 4:2:2 to 4:4:4, this does the equivalent upon decode, saving you more disk space.
