Processor

Hello,

I know that PPro 2 requirements say Pentium 4 HT 3.4GHz. I have 3.0, and I have seen the difference in response and performance when migrated to 2.0. Since now there is this new Pentium D, what is the recommendation: should I go ahead and upgrade to P4 3.4 or should I go directly to Pentium D 2.8? Any real field experience? What speed and which specific D 820 or 840?

Thanks!

Luis

Luis, any of the dual cores will blow away the 3.4, they really fly with adobe products.

Thanks Mike!

Now, the question would be if my motherboard can be used with any of Pentium D processors... I hope so.

Thanks again,

Luis

PS
It is incredible how much "technology" we need to deal with in this creative world of digital cinematography....
