1080i to DVD

For everyone working in Premiere, way to create excelent quality DVDs:

1. Export to 1080i CFHD
2. Import to DVD Architect and create DVD

DVD Architect recognizes 1080i CFHD and recodes it. I could not make Adobe Encore to do the same.

Procoder 2 will also convert 1080i CFHD directly to SD m2v. I think I am getting the best images using this workflow. See post below.

I think that it takes less time to use Vegas then DVD Arch. I would render it from the HDV timeline to whatever flavor of SD you would like as a DVD arch stream and then encode the audio. Import the mpg into dvd arch and make sure your audio is there, if not, drag it in and build the dvd, then burn it.

Vegas does work smoother. And somehow DVD architect converts cineform 1080i to dvd with visually much better quality.

I will have to test that out. I never noticed any difference in quality using it with SD. DVD arch is so slow when it converts from avi to mpg for the dvd.

Try it, my conversions with DVD Arch is much sharper and stronger colors.

it looks like you can only get DVD architect in the Vegas Production bundle. Is this correct?
