Unknown Error attempting to export...
 

Hi there,

I'm attempting to export a Cineform clip to WMV format using Premiere Pro 1.5.1 and the latest version of Cineform HD.

I shot this footage from my Z1U.

When I attempt to export, I get an error about 60 frames into the 6538 total frames. All it says is: Unknown Error!

Here are my export settings:

This ONLY happens using a Cineform project. If I export from a DV project, I'm fine.

You should file a trouble ticket with cineform.com/support, however the Adobe Media Encoder is not modified by CineForm so failure may be elsewhere. There have been AME errors in the past that can be bypassed by rendering out a single AVI first (or MOV it doesn't matter.) Then export the new file throught the AME.

Reboot your PC and try again, making sure no other applications ran before PPro.

Also do not do any PPro tasks before WMV export.

This should help. Having your export task the first in line on freshly rebooted PC, will ensure there's no weird memory conflicts (with luck :) from previously ran tasks.

PPro is pretty stable on my PC, but sometimes it indeed glitches, and the PC reboot is usually the cure.
