Cineform files from Demo mode, no longer work?

I used Cineform HD connect(DEMO) in the summer for some test files from an FX one I had. I haven't looked at the files in months, but now when I try to today - it tells me the codec cannot be found and it only plays the audio and not the video. What should I do about this? Is that part of the demo mode that they would stop working?

Re-install the current Connect HD (v3.4.1) trial to is in the issue is just a missing decoding.

Thanks, I will try that. I also noticed something when I tried to install another demo version of HD connect - my time clock on my computer was still in 2006! It kept saying "your computer times is not correct" and I looked at it strangely thinking the software was acting up ... well, low and behold it was right and how the heck it happened, I don't know, but it was still in 2006. Going to change it back to 2007 and see what happens.

Should I uninstall and reboot first?

To be sure, a reboot can't hurt.

Ok, I tried to install the newest version and I guess my computer date in 2006 thing has really screwed things up. Now, it won't let me run the program (after the install, which also gives me an error when it comes to the decode.ax files or something and I get the error ' TIME IS UP - BUY, ENTER KEY, CANCEL.
I have tried to activate it and other things, but it doesn't seem to like it. Any ideas?

The program will have expired, as you have tried it before (that is how it knew your clock was wrong.) Do your old clips play (double click on a CineForm AVI)?

yes, now they do play - that is fixed. Am I right in assuming that after using the demo in the summer, I can't reinstall the newest demo?

Occasionally we offer a extension to the trial, particular for major version upgrades (e.g. from v2 to v3.) If you reconsidering a purchase, you can request a 15-day extension by submitting a trouble ticket with that request to support.
