Flash XDR Mount for Full Size Cameras

3 Attachment(s)
Tim Polster requested that we design and build a mount for his full size camera.

While he has a Panasonic HPX-500, this mount will work with many full size cameras with an existing Anton Bauer Gold Mount.

Specifically, Tim wanted us to utilize the existing Anton Bauer Gold Mount on the full size cameras as an appropriate and sturdy place to quickly mount the Flash XDR.

We designed a sturdy and versatile mounting plate.

On one side there are two sets of hole patterns where the three Anton Bauer Gold Mount studs (buttons) can be attached. One set is higher than the other thus providing two mounting options for the plate.

The Flash XDR is attached to the other side of the plate in one of three mounting positions. This allows one to vary the position of the Flash XDR vertically in relation to the camera and/or mounting plate.

In addition, this plate can be used off-camera with the Flash XDR. A "Baby-Pin" is included so that the plate can be attached to a C-Stand or other grip equipment. In addition, this "Baby Pin" acts as a free-standing stand for floor or table-top applications.

An Anton Bauer Compact Universal Gold Mount with a 4-Pin XLR connection may also be used with this plate. This allows the Flash XDR to be stand-alone and powered by any Anton Bauer Gold Mount battery.

For Tim's application, he has the plate mounted to his camera. Thus, he plugs another source of power into his camera's 4-Pin XLR adapter. Tim typically uses a battery belt for this purpose. In a studio, a camera power supply could be used.

Price on XDR mount?

Hi Dan

I would also be interested in this mount for the Panasonic. Are you able to supply one and if so how much would it cost?

Dear Nic,

We haven't determined our prices at this time.

I will try to do this as soon as possible.
