Nanoflash accessory list?
Does a on-line Nanoflash accessory list exist? I've seen parts, but with the heavy traffic in this forum, it's hard to put everything together. The Nanoflash manual has a good list, but much more has been discussed on this forum.
This short list should qualify as a "Sticky" thread in this forum: 0) Included accessories - still 1) DC power supply 2) flash card reader? BH Photo doesn't list anything. 1) Short SDI & HDMI cables I have some custom XLR cables from Trew Audio that don't include the rubber around the mesh sleeve. This makes for a flexible cable that doesn't transmit bumps as much to camera-mounted microphones 2) battery power More details on ordering battery from Convergent 3) mounting brackets/plates 4) flash cards (Dan Keaton has done a good job in one thread) |
This is what I know at the moment!
The nanoFlash comes with: AC (mains) power supply USB CompactFlash card reader A short USB extension cable CD with the manual. Optional Accessories: Hotshoe Ball Mount HD-SDI cables D-Tap (P-Tap) power cable 4-Pin XLR power cable HDMI cable, Type C (mini) to Type A (large) 3 foot, 1 meter HDMI cable, Type C (mini) to Type A (large) 6 foot, 2 meter Swit Battery (great for use with the Sony EX1/EX3, requires D-Tap cable) Remote Control Remote Control with Timecode Input TimeCode Input cable (no remote control) And many other accessories! In the pipeline: V-Mount nanoFLASH Cage Agree with this being a sticky. |
Thanks, Paul. Any leads on the V-mount cage for the Nanoflash? My searches come up empty.

This is the last I heard from Dan:

1.5' SDI cable can be assembled with a 1.5' RCA cable and two RCA->BNC converters.
The shortest SDI cable I could find is 3' in length. |
Dear Gints,
We can custom build a quality HD-SDI cable in any length you specify. Typically our shortest length is 9", but on a special basis we will make shorter one. We can also make very long cables. |
Thanks, Dan.
Also, it would be good to update the Nanoflash manual that the D-tap->4 pine hirose cable is available from dolgin.net. If Convergent sells anything from its site, I was unable to find it. |
Gints,
If there is any cable length you need, any adapter you need (Power-tap, 4 pin Hirose, 4 pin XLR, 12 pin Hirose for the remote connector to breakout box, 3 phase 440v power to 12v (etc), I can whip up one for you. High quality BNC's can be made up in a couple of minutes. I will test any of these cables on our many XDR's and Nanos. Jeff |
