SDI to composite adapter

I need to put an SDI - analog adapter in my kit for occasional liveshots or playing back the Nano to NTSC gear. With luck I'll never have to use it but once in while I come across a truck without SDI or want to do a down and dirty dub out of the Nano to betacam or something NTSC.
There are several on the market and I'm hoping my esteemed colleagues here might have some insights or recommendations.

I'm guessing this won't be cheap. There would need to be quite a bit of conversion going on. I use an AJA IO but it's standard def only and definitely not something you could put in your pocket.

Denis,

I am a big fan of the AJA HD10MD3. We have a bunch of them and they work well. Probably a bit pricey though. They are nice and compact.

Aaron and Jeff are both presuming (probably correctly) that you are going to be recording in HiDef to your nano. But you just specify "SDI", which doesn't, by itself, mean HD. Serial Digital Interface is used for both SD and HD.

If you're just looking to convert digital SD to analog SD, you can do it much more cheaply; no downconverter is needed.

I'm looking to take SDI to NTSC, something like the Blackmagic mini converter, a Miranda or the Redbyte Decimator.
I just found this - AJA D4E D/A Converter, SDI to NTSC/PAL (2 outputs) for about $200.00, it might be the answer.
Another possibility that will give me the HDSDI>composite option is Wohler HD2SD Compact HD-SDI to SD-SDI (to Analog) Down-Converter for $500.00
Just wondering if anyone here has used any of these....
