Tried my nano but 1 my casablanca editer or my computer can't see the card reader that comes bundled with the nano

2 conected the nano to the tv vi HDMI cable set it to play and tv also dosen't see Ha HA HA!!!!!! any help PLEASE

1. Which Casablanca editor do you have?

If you have a PC or a Mac, can you see the nanoFlash files?

2. Your nanoFlash should be able to play the recorded files to your TV via HDMI.

Sorry, but I do not understand the "Ha HA HA". Are you joking, or does the nanoFlash actually not play your files and the TV does not show them.

Assuming that you do have a problem, is your TV input set to the proper HDMI input?

Does the nanoFlash say that it is "Playing"?

2 I hooked up the nano to the TV vi the HDMI lead to a little Logik HDMI box that is conected to the TVs HDMI socket, the TV only has 1 socket so it saves pulling the TV out and i have my Casablanca and dvd player conected to it too it has 4 ports and you press a button for each one and a blue led lights up to show that port is live which it does but the TV is blank with the nano playing?

The card reader which came with nano won't work on the computer or the cassie neather see it

What OS are you on?

You may have to install drivers for a PC to see the card reader..

Eliminate the the possible problems one by one:

If you hook your Camera to the TV via HDMI do you get a picture? If yes then proceed. If not get that working first.

Make sure settings in the camera are right.

HDMI cables can be temperamental. Try bypassing your switcher to the TV.

When that works hook up your HDMI cable to the Nano while signal is coming from your camera. Does it work? If not make sure the settings are right in the Nano.

Just a couple thoughts.

The camera works if conected to the HDMI+ the blueray+cassie

Ok just tried the nano into HDMI on tv and it works yeah!!!!

Still baffled with the card reader the cassie almost always sees anything connected to the USB

If you have a card, either a card just formatted in the nanoFlash, or a card with footage on it that appears to play by saying "Playing" on the nanoFlash,

then,

If you put this same card into the USB 2.0 CompactFlash card reader, then plug the card reader into a Mac or a PC, the computer should see it.

We have very few failures of the quality USB 2.0 CompactFlash card reader.

You could check with you dealer, and we will be happy to replace it. We would, of course, like to know that it is really defective before we replace it.

Does your computer show the "new hardware attached" message? I am assuming you are on a PC.

Try a different USB port. Try the reader w/o the cable. I think the cable comes off.

Try a different card reader, do you have another one?

They are pretty cheap.

I use an Express 34 reader it is way faster than a USB reader. I am on macs mostly though.

I have a Sandisk card reader that fits to the firewire and it works fine so thats ok

Have just tried the Sandisk and it works fine, do you delete clips by re-formating in nano

Before each shoot, or after the files have been transferred to a computer, we request that you format the CompactFlash card in the nanoFlash.

Ian, I am glad you have it all working.

I have never had a single problem with my NanoFlash, or cards for it.

I always format the cards after having it hooked to a computer. It is fast and easy to get used to doing.

The footage quality is most apparent in colour grading. My favorite setting is 100mb/s long gop. It holds it s own very well. I often use 50mb/s for long recording times as well.

Have fun NF is a great piece of gear (it is great for playback as well, a lot smaller than a BluRay player and better quality) , and CD is a great company with great support. I also think this forum is a wonderful resource.
