Panasonic AG-3DA1 with Nano Flash bracket

Here is a picture of my Panasonic AG-3DA1 with a custom made Westside A/V mounting bracket. I took the camera to Olof at his studio in New Hampshire when I received the camera early last month and he designed and built the bracket in one day. He has the template if any other owner is interested in obtaining it for their 3DA1 cameras. We also added an Anton Bauer powering plate for the Nano Flash units in the rear and a Sony V mount bracket so as to use the standard Sony tripod plate. To power the camera with this plate will require a rectifier to be installed in the A/B plate base to convert to Panasonic 7.x volt power - and that is currently being done by a local technician.

Nice Panasonic Native 3D Camera !

Hi Bruce:
Where did you get your 3D Panasonic camera ? I understood this camera was not on the market yet. Anyway, it isn't on the market here in Canada. (??)

Olof

That's look great! Is the viewfinder usable? From this angle I can't really tell if its or not. Olof, can I use the EX3 shoulder mount with nano bracket from you for nano3D with 3D Panny? is it interchangeable and does it have to be( nano a part) as shown on the picture or it could be as it was meant by CD using the combine bracket as a one solid unit? Very interested....
Cheers

Mark - I got it directly from Panasonic as I was in the first 20 to place a $1000 deposit on it in January.

Luben - I also have an EX3 base and wing plate that Olof makes but it is not the same shape as what is required for the 3DA1. The base plate should work but he needs to make a special wing plate that is bent to wrap around and tuck into the camera near the viewfinder. I also had a few "extras" added which Olof can fill you in on. Also, the viewfinder is fully usable, but I don't ever seem to use it.

Thank you Bruce! Good to know all that. I'll keep in touch with Olof (I actually do)! Would you be possible for you to upload 3D from the camera and a 3D from NF (shot simultaneously if possible) and share your opinion perhaps? If you need a FTP I could provide that for the upload. Thanks again.
Cheers
