nanoFlash's Strong Points

Dear Friends,

We have now shipped over 2,800 nanoFlashes.

Here are my thoughts on the nanoFlash's strong points.

Many are used on a daily basis on professional shoots, and some have been used in Emmy Award Winning productions.

Only the nanoFlash and nano3D have all of the following features:

• Lowest Power Consumption, under 6 watts, under 12 for nano3D
• Smallest Size Professional HD/SD Recorder/Player
• Broadcast Quality 4:2:2 at only 50 Mbps
• Very Low-Noise Codec
• Pulldown Removal
• Over and Under-Cranking
• Time-Lapse
• Hot Swapping of CompactFlash Cards
• Ability to use low cost, CompactFlash Card media, Ability to Span Cards
• Not restricted to high cost 600x media
• Ability to record Broadcast Quality, uninterrupted, for over 10 Hours
• Wide range of Bit-Rates: HD: 18 to 280 Mbps; SD: 3 to 50 Mbps
• Compatibility with all Professional Non-Linear Editors
• Upgradable to a full featured 3D Recorder, upgrade available now
• Lowest overall cost when media and batteries are considered.
• Customer Acclaimed, 24/7, Live Knowledgeable Customer Support
• Very Active User Forum, DVInfo.net, over 1,000 topics, over 11,000 posts

Hi Dan,

A few more to consider...

-- Noiseless or silent operation

-- (relatively) Cool operation

-- Weighs only 13.5 ounces with cards or .383 kg (383 grams)

-- enclosure can receive either hardware mounts or velcro and due to its lack of weight and noise can be mounted almost anywhere on a camera package or a steadicam rig

Don't forget 24 bit audio. Most every camera out there records at 16 bit.

And a great group of customers ready to help to make the best DSSR on the market (testing Firmware updates, searching for possible issues, testing quality,..).
CD should be proud of having caught the interest and support of his customers even when the NANO was just a project.
So lets go for the few little things that still can be improved on our beautiful NANOs, and lets give a try to that GOPs structure :-)
Cheers,
rafael
