How many buttons to push?

I saw recently in a post that Nanoflash is capable of responding to a one-button push on the camcorder. Is that true? I was able to use one a while back, and was confounded by having to push record on the camcorder and then do it again on the Nanoflash. When I forgot to do the latter, I missed the shot! Has this been changed?

Dear Thomas,

If your camera outputs timecode, either embedded in the HD-SDI output, or via a Timecode out connector, then the nanoFlash can detect incrementing timecode and start and stop recording automatically.

However, HDMI does not support timecode and many consumer cameras do not have timecode outputs.

If you need to use LTC, (linear timecode), the nanoFlash has a LTC input, but one needs one of our Timecode or Remote Control + Timecode cables.

For many cameras, the setup is

System|Timecode|Source Embedded (Use LTC instead, if appropriate)

System|Trigger Timecode (TC)

Then set your camera to output Record Run Timecode.
