I realize this is a bit off topic, but figured the CD forum has plenty of users dealing with storage and archival issues.

That said, does anyone use or own the CalDigit 2TB VR External Hard Drive Array? And if so, have you used 3.5" drives other than those sold by Cal Digit?

We'd like to buy one, but evidently the warranty will be void if we use drives that aren't purchased from CalDigit. This is a problem for us since we already have projects/media backed up to other drives that we'd need to use in the enclosure. CalDigit was rather evasive when we asked if other drives would work in the VR Array, they only told us that they "might".

Any info would be appreciated.
