Connecting the NanoFlash to Sony SONY 3D HDRTD30V
 

Hello,
I want to record the output of Sony SONY 3D HDRTD30V camera to the Nanoflash and it's not working for me. The Sony SONY 3D HDRTD30V camera only has HDMI Video Resolution : 3D HD:2x 1920x1080 / 60i; 2D HD:1920x1080 / 60p (PS),24p (FX,FH), 60i (FX,FH), 1440x1080 / 60i (HQ,LP); STD:720x480 / 60i.

Dear Lance,

The nanoFlash is a single channel video recorder, it is not designed to record two channels.

We did offer the nano3D, which consisted of two nanoFlashes, special firmware, and special cables, that could record 3D.

But, your regular nanoFlash cannot record 3D from your camera.

If you setup your camera for regular HD, and the frame rate is 1080p30 or less, I assume that the nanoFlash will work.

Hello Dan the camera has a switchable output mode for 3D or 2D and I want to record the 2D ouptut in 2D HD:1920x1080/60p(PS) to the Nanoflash.

The nanoFlash unfortunately cannot record 1080p60, only 1080i. (FX and FH modes only)

There currently is no affordable external recorder on the market that can record 1080p60 at the moment.

Dear Friends,

Our nanoFlash can record 1080i60 and up to 1080p30.

But not 1080p60.

Our Odyssey7Q, which starts initial shipping soon, will record 1080p60.

The Odyssey7, which is scheduled to start shipping in December 2013, will also record 1080p60.

Thanks Jack I have found a work around and it works very well for my application and thats to take the HDMI output from the camera into the Atomos Connect H2S: HDMI to HD-SDI and the feed the SDI signal to the Nanoflash.
Dan could this be more of a HDMI compliance issue?

I don't see why not. It uses older HDMI chips that only support up to 1080i and an older revision of the HDMI spec.

I'm looking to get the same thing to solve a illegal video levels record kill switch in the HDMI in for the nano, as that kill switch is not present in SDI.
