Multicam

Hi!
I was wondering about multicam preview option in 7q base model. How it works? Is it possible to use it like live switcher..like 4 in and 1 out.

Regards
Raul

Re: Multicam

Dear Raul,

Four Stream (four HD-SDI video inputs) can be displayed in Quad Split mode on a base Odyssey7Q.

And one can output this Quad Split mode to an external HD-SDI or HDMI monitor.

Also, one can select any one of the four for full scale viewing on the internal OLED or HD-SDI and HDMI Output.

But, with current firmware one can only go sequentially from A to B, B to C, C to D, and D to A, not directly from any input to any other input.

Also, with 1.1.105, our Multi-Stream Monitoring is not working well on PSF inputs.

Both of these issues should be corrected soon, via a new firmware release.

Respectfully,

What will the Price be for the multicam plugin? Also wondering if the bought plugins can be moved to another odessy if the monitor dies for some reason?

Re: Multicam

Dear Bo,

Our Multi-Stream Monitoring feature is built-in to the Odyssey7Q, so there is no extra cost for monitoring from up to four HD-SDI cameras. We will, later, enhance this so that one source can be input via HDMI.

Our original Multi-Stream Recording Option, supporting up to four cameras, is priced at $2,995 for the option.

We will be announcing, later, a Multi-Stream Recording Option that supports two cameras, and this, of course, will be priced lower.

We are getting closer to enabling our Rental Program.

Thus, if an Odyssey7Q dies, one can use a second Odyssey7Q, then rent the desired options.

Then, if the original Odyssey7Q is returned to us for repair, in a reasonable amount of time, we could refund the rental charges.

We definitely want to support our users, promptly, especially in any case where a unit quits working.

Respectfully,
