Las Vegas, NV – At NAB 2008, April 14th through 17th, nNovia will be presenting its spring and summer new products line-up at their booth # SU11321.

New QuickCapture™ features - Continuing to expand on their celebrated QuickCapture™ series of decks and recorders, nNovia will introduce support for
• DVCPro 50/100 HD format
• SD/SDI capture.

New desktop software (free) – MAC and Windows utilities are being added to the line-up and include:
• QCMAC – a MAC desktop utility that converts HDV files formatted as .m2t files to .mov files for seamless integration into Final Cut Pro. The conversion occurs when the files are dragged and dropped from the nNovia HDD to the MAC for editing. It is very fast and adds minimal time to the standard file transfer process.
• QCWIN – a PC desktop utility that converts .avi-formatted video files to mxf type OPAtom. The .mxf OPAtom format is the preferred file format for Avid NLE’s. The conversion occurs when the files are dragged and dropped from the nNovia HDD to the PC for Avid NLE editing. It is very fast and adds minimal time to the standard file transfer process.

New QCR Recording System – Building on its successful QCR half-rack, 1 RU tall recorder, nNovia has created a new line of small rack-mount recorders that set a new standard in innovative digital video recorders. The unit starts with a generic recording mainframe and allows the user to choose one of multiple “personality modules” that support more specific requirements. These modules include both hardware and software modules. The first set of “personality modules” to be released include:
• Single channel Hardware module with SD/SDI inputs and outputs with DV25 compression
• Dual channel Hardware module with SD/SDI inputs and outputs with DV25 compression
• Dual channel Hardware module with DVB-asi inputs and outputs.
• Software module that allows recording of uncompressed SD/SDI to an nNovia High Speed Mediapac

HD Accessories – nNovia will show a novel way to take advantage of the DVB-asi module to record HD content from existing HD cameras through their Firewire or HD/SDI connections.

To make an appointment, please call Harn Soper at 408-436-1486, ext. 108 or follow the crowd to nNovia in the South Upper Hall #SU11321. See you there.
