Easy, quick, affordable, good - does it exist?

I've been interested in adding some 3d animation to my videos for some time. I've worked with Blender 3d with limited success, and yet when I see what results some have achieved I keep telling myself I must be barking up the wrong tree - there must be a better solution.

For example, recently I wanted to add a sequence into a video that involved Yoda interacting with my 7 year old. I found a Blender model but it was incomplete and ultimately turned out to be unusable for my needs.

Is there an affordable package whereby I could add, say, an animal (a rat for instance, something like Templeton), or Yoda for that matter, that I could manipulate, voice, render, etc. in a rreasonable amount of time?

On that note, is there a virtual landscape package whereby I could create a 3D "living" environment? I know there's Bryce, but it seems more for creating static backgrounds. Maybe I'm crazy, but the idea came from a demo (graphics benchmark?) from not too long ago - I figured if someone could create such a landscape just for a demo or benchmark, the technology might be within my reach.

I'm looking for packages that have object libraries that can at least be used as guidelines.

Does such exist and, if so, what does it cost?
