Growing plants and flowers

Is there a thread, or a tutorial showing how to animate plants, flowers, leaves, vines, etc. growing on screen? I'd like the plants/flowers to be more cartoony, and not realistic. I've seen them here and there in various spots and music videos.

Can this be done in AE 7 Pro?

Thanks,

Check out videocopilot.net and look into the "Evolution" product. WELL worth the investment!

its probably vector images of plants that you see and they keyframe it with masks to reveal it..... making it look like its growing. Its been done sooo much in the past few years that you can easily find stock video of it. It saves a ton of time and you can just overlay it.

Thanks Alex--I looked into Video Copilot's site, and they have some really good tutes. The Evolution dvd is kinda sorta what I'm looking for. (Want a more "organic", but cartoon, hand-drawn look)

Wes--Still pretty new with AE, and have a looong waaays to go! But I'll look into some stock FX. That might save some headaches :)

Please explain further

Yes, you do see this effect everywhere. I'd like to learn how to do it too. I went to Istock this morning, they have a great selection, but i don't know which file format to download or which filmspeed. Can someone explain the process of incorporating an animation like this into a premiere project and how to choose which type of file format off of I stock? Here's a link so a sample file:
