How is this made?

sorry for this question but I'm trying to figure out how this is made:

Can someone explain the workflow? How many cams or was it just one and the trick is masking and fitting it in a different back ground?

The shot is done with 2 cameras let say A and B, one for each angle obviously.
Choose the frame when you want to "orbit the action"

Then a pluggin called Twixtor is used for the slow motion ramping on both clips to get to that frame.

Then get that frame (2 frames actually, 2 cameras same instant, A and B) into Photoshop, separate into Layers (the same layer for both) and rebuild the backgroud using the Clone Stamp tool or other frames where the BG is clear.

Then animate the layers in After Effects to get the felling of the orbit (from A to B), then morph every layer from "the frame" on camera "A" to The same layer on "the frame" on camera "B"

I have done it this way and looks quite similar, but the more planing the better.

Same camera settings, framing, focus are just the basics.

thanks. It explains a lot and I was actually afraid, that the answer contains the words Adobe and After Effects :-( It seems like there is no other way than to do it in AE, no way with just a "normal" NLE.

Can you elaborate what you mean by this, and how this is done? I have a couple of shots I'm working with right now and this would be a phenom. addition to it. I can't quite get it what you mean by this, though.
