How do they make the Rice Crispies in color?

So I'm watching TV and a commercial for rice Crispies comes on. You may have seen it... Everything is black and white, except the cereal box, and the rice Crispies themselves. I know how to do this in a still photo, but how do you do it in video?

It would be pretty easy to fake the box in one of the various 3D programs out there, but then I get stumped by the bowl with the cereal in it.

Anyone able to say how the magic is worked?

Thanks

it is done exactly the same way in video as in still images... well very close. Imagine how you would do it in photoshop and open up after effects. It will be almost the same way only thing you would have to do is now keyframe all those properties and there you have it.. moving images with an effect :)

Most people think just because its video it has to be much harder. In most cases that is true, but in some, like simple effects, its the same.

Haven't seen the commercial but you could do a black and white footage with a
masked color overlay in AE...
