Quick question re: After Effects 6
Does After Effects 6 allow you to preview your footage on an external monitor like Vegas and Premiere Pro?
|
According to the manual (p. 190):
You can preview the contents of your Layer, Footage, or Composition window on an external video monitor if you have a third-party device that facilitates this, such as a video digitizing card or a FireWire port (Mac OS). This feature does not work with Windows OHCI cards. Set the Video Preview preferences to identify the device After Effects uses for output, to adjust the display, and to specify the use of OpenGL previews. |
ok ummm *scratching head*......
Ok so it works with Firewire cards but not OHCI firewire ports? |
Matrox and Canopus both have drivers for showing AE previews on an external NTSC monitor.
Not really great but better than nothing. Wish AE had an accelerator for a reasonable price. |
Guess AE isn't the program to use for advanced color correction.
