After Effects Training DVD

Hello All,

Some of you may know me from my After Effects tutorials over at DMN. Some of you I have met at various conventions, etc.

I've been approached by several companies wanting me to do training DVDs for them. Right now we are trying to narrow down topics/areas to be covered.

What areas/topics would you want covered most in an After Effects Training DVD?

You can respond to me off list if you like at my e-mail addy

Cheers

I found expressions to be one of the most useful parts about AE. I dont fully understand them still, but they are so powerful, I think they could have their own training series!! I'd also want to see an in depth section about green screen and rotoscoping. And for 6.0, an in depth series about text is a must, particularly how to use the animators. Good Luck.

I vote for green screen and rotoscoping also.

I would like to see you handle some practical projects. That is, say I want to do a commercial and I want the wind to sweep around the talent and end up in the equivalent of a fireworks explosion while also rippling the ground on which the talent stands.

I think there is a lot of information available on how to use the tools, but very little on how to use the tools to make complex projects. Even the planning of such a project requires a fair amount of effort and the planning aspect seems never to be covered.
