Searching for After Effects 6 Pro Plug-In

G'day,

I'm looking for a plug-in for AE6 that will make my video look like a cartoon or comic book. Does anyone know if such a plug-in is available.

I am using the PC version.

Thanks,

Shane.

I'm going to assume from the lack of replies that no such plug-in exists.

I'd also be interested to know if there's a third party plug in that will do this job well.

Meanwhile, try duplicating the layer. On the top layer apply the Find Edges filter and reduce the opacity to around 30%. Maybe add a little blur before the Find Edges filter, which may reduce noise. On the bottom layer apply the Posterize filter with levels set at 3. Or you could try the Minimax filter.

It's not great but it's a start and with much tweaking it may get close to the desired result. Much will depend on your source footage I think. The more contrasty the better I guess.

no single plugin, use a combo of built in filters

check out video gogh at revisonfx. it's not a true toon simulator, but it will do its best to emulate natural paint tools, and it does a pretty nice job with certain kinds of footage. if you're looking for a very specific type of toon style, you may not be able to get around rotoscoping frame by frame.
