DV Keying Questions
Not sure where to put this question but here seems right...
I just completed our 1st full green screen production. (We practice serveal times on a small 5x7 key) Upon completion, We notice alot of noise on the talent. Do you think its because of say a material the talent was whereing? Do you think its because of the colors the talent was where (black) I don't think its a lighting issue as we were underlit before (keying was very hard) We are using Serious Magic for post production. This noise appears on the AVI outputted from the tape... Anyhelp would be great. |
Do you have a framegrab or two to show?

Well in my opinion it would be the clothes they were whereing. If your green screen was underlit it would probably be closer to black. I've found that it is much harder to key with an under lit green screen than a well lit one as long as you can controll the spill.

Well, I don't know how you could fix that type of thing in Serious Magic, but in After Effects, you could most likely fix it using various methods.
DV is difficult to key anyway. I've gotten very good results with Keylight or dv Matt Pro from dvgarage.com I'd have to see some footage to know what's going on. Jim |
