Yes, it's probably not going to put your RED ONE to shame anytime soon, but I always find these low-cost pocket-cams interesting.

That thing can't possibly put out good image quality. But it could be interesting to see where it is used in the futrue. Will it stay with just the soccer moms or will professionals use it in rough environments as "throw away" cameras that will are to be used for a project in wet or sandy environments and then tossed after they get the days of footage off.

It seems to be specifically aimed at the European market. Unless I'm missing something, their Action HD, which US customers can buy in Wal-mart for $199.84 is not only cheaper, but also appears to be superior in that it has a 3x optical zoom.

The thing I don't understand about all of these new gizmos is that it would be more convenient, to say the least, for a large number of uses that European customers might be likely to put their footage to if it was possible to shoot at 25 or 50 fps rather than 30 and 60, but very few of these gizmos can do that.

For the price that you pay for these things, the picture quality is excellent. The US equivalent is around $150 and like Steve Brady, the one with the zoom is only $200.

I have some samples here and only the single clips are native.

When viewing the A-HD+ clips, please keep in mind that the camcorder lacks a stabilizer, I never bother to use the digital zoom and the camcorder is always handheld.
