Apple releases ProRes decoder for Mac & Windows

Apple has made a decode-only version of their ProRes codec available for both Macs & PCs. Previously it was only available on Macs which had Final Cut Studio 2 installed. It requires QuickTime 7.5 to be installed.

For Mac:
Apple - Support - Downloads - Apple ProRes QuickTime Decoder 1.0 for Mac

For Windows:
Apple - Support - Downloads - Apple ProRes QuickTime Decoder 1.0 for Windows

Great to know that there are now more options for delivering in the Pro Res codec (great codec) to people from the PC world or consumer Mac-users. Great move, Apple.
