lafcpug gets back to FCS, Sept. 22, 2010

Next lafcpug meeting of the Los Angeles Final Cut Pro User Group (lafcpug) will be Wednesday, September 22, 2010 beginning at 6:45PM - till we drop at Gallery Theatre in Hollywood Ca.

Join us for "Back to FCS Night."

Compressing your video for the web: Final Cut Guru Larry Jordan explains key concepts, diagnoses common problems and shows you how to improve the quality of the video you compress for the web. All in 30 minutes!

Patrick Sheffield of Sheffield Softworks, author of several must have plug-ins for Final Cut and Motion will take us inside his new book, "How to Cheat in Motion" and show us how to cheat.

JFK special, JFK:THE LOST TAPES, is currently up for an EMMY for news and documentary for best achievement in editing. Shane Ross did the online and will show the offline to online process used for this."

Dan Donley will talk about shooting with the Canon 5D. Dan is a DP/Operator who spent 104 days on the road this year shooting with this particular DSLR and will review what hes learned about this game changing camera. Dan literally flew around the world four times in 2010 and will explain what he took and why these particular tools were chosen to shoot both video and stills in 15 different countries.

Also Stump the Gurus and of course, World Famous Raffle.
