Announcing the Second Annual FCPUG London SuperMeet to be held once again in
the Great Hall at the Kensington Conference and Event Centre on Thursday,
June 23, 2011.

Tickets are on sale now for the "EarlyBird" price of only £10.00 each plus
ticket fee. Which means if you plan to attend, then buy your tickets now.
This event will be the single largest UK social gathering of digital
filmmakers, FCS, Avid and Adobe Gurus and users in all of 2011.*

This years SuperMeet promises to be bigger than ever before. In addition to
a great show we will once again have a vendor area with over 15 software and
hardware developers showing off their products and solutions. Plus the usual
food and drink, networking opportunities and general mayhem.

What’s on the agenda?*
Well, it’s SuperSecret. but we can tell you this; There will be user driven
presentations, revolutionary new ideas and new products for you to drool
over. Will Final Cut Pro X be there? Darn right it will be. If it’s released
we will show you all you need to know as well as open the floor for your
feedback. If its not released will show you all you need to know to prepare
before you download and install.

In addition, we will have the World famous Raffle where we will once again
give away thousands of Pounds worth of prizes to dozens of lucky winners.
More importantly the SuperMeet is your chance to*hang out and network with
about 600 of your peers, many of whom know more than you do.

Again, tickets are only £10.00 each and will remain so until May. 31, 2011.
After that it’s £15.00 each. So buy your tickets early. There are only 500
tickets available and once they are gone, they are gone.

Agenda update:


The final agenda will not be announced until shortly before the event date, however the producers have stated that producer, director, editor, consultant and Apple-Certified trainer Larry Jordan will present on Final Cut Pro.

“Larry is a masterful presenter and we are excited to have him,” said Horton. “His energy, enthusiasm, and extraordinary knowledge of the program make every one of his sessions memorable. He's working on his presentation now and will let us know more about it in a couple of weeks. Cool stuff about Final Cut 7? A first look at Final Cut X? Exciting plug-ins or hardware? He hasn't told us.”

In addition, Colorist Alexis Van Hurkman will show off the DaVinci Resolve from Blackmagic Design. Autodesk’s Joe Billington will demo Smoke on Mac OSX. And there will be special films from Red Giant Software and Genarts. And MUCH more. Rounding out the evening will be the always crazy “World Famous Raffle,” where dozens of lucky people will go home with thousands of Pounds worth of valuable software and hardware.

Doors to the SuperMeet will open at about 19:00 with the "SuperMeet Digital Showcase," featuring over 15 software and hardware developers including Blackmagic Design, AV3/GET, Genarts, G-Tech, Jigsaw, LaCie, Red Giant, London Filter Company, Qube Master, Tiffen, and many others. Here, attendees can enjoy a few cocktails, network and party with industry peers, talk one on one with leading manufacturers and learn about the latest trends in collaborative editing workflows for post production and broadcast markets.

It is expected the London SuperMeet will sell out as historically SuperMeets always sell out. Tickets are on sale now for only £15.00 each plus ticket fee. Students and Teachers with a valid student or teacher ID can purchase tickets for £10.00 each.
