BOSCPUG is very pleased to have our first joint mixer of 2012 with the Boston Avid UG and SMPTE-NE featuring special guest Philip Hodgetts.

UPDATE! Before getting to the meat of metadata, Philip will demonstrate the new features of Final Cut Pro X Update 10.0.3 and his new 7toX for Final Cut Pro application.

FINAL CUT PRO X Version 10.0.3 has just been announced. It introduces Multicam Editing, Broadcast Monitoring, Media Relink, advanced Chroma Keying and many more new features, which Philip will discuss.

7TOX is a $10.00 app that takes the old into the new - You can now bring your old FCP 7 projects into FCP X. While Apple said it could not be done, at least with "perfect fidelity" - Philip Hodgetts and Gregory Clarke from Intelligent Assistance have, and Philip will take us on a tour of 7toX.

METADATA plays a crucial role in editing workflows, and yet each of the major NLEs have very different philosophies about metadata. Learn how to optimize the use of metadata in Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium, Avid Media Composer and Final Cut Pro (both versions) during production and to manage assets after editorial.
