Oh C500!
Who is glad he didn't buy a C300? THIS GUY! (oh wait, you can't see me pointing at myself) |
Re: Canon USA product announcements for NAB2012
Working on adding pics & final formatting... meanwhile the C500 body is nearly identical to the C300.

Re: Canon USA product announcements for NAB2012
Wait.. you actually pay attention to what I write?!?
But yes and still glad that I did. IMHO the Scarlet is the better cinema camera, even though it's at least $5000 more expensive. However, I'm excited by the C500, it has more of what I hoped the 1D Cinema would have. Of course, I don't expect it to be in the same price range as either of these cameras, and while I like it, it's unlikely to fit my business model. Given Canon's recent pricing trend, I'd imagine it would be close to $30k to compete with the Epic. Just my two cents. The most exciting thing for me right now is still the FS700's high speed modes. Hot diggedy, cant' wait to get to Vegas and play with that! |

Walking the show floor on this trip for a change, Dylan? Heh.

Re: Canon USA product announcements for NAB2012
The MSRP for the Canon C500 is $30,000. That's a lot of notes to let go of...

Re: Canon USA product announcements for NAB2012
For those who are looking for a bar near the LVCC, just walk across the skybridge to the Hilton. Should take ten minutes, rather than four hours. :)

Re: Canon USA product announcements for NAB2012
I see that Jon already has the all the nearest bars mapped out within nearest walking distance of a 4K camera. :)

Re: Canon USA product announcements for NAB2012
Nah, I'm trying to get everybody to leave the show floor and go to bars so I'll have a smaller crowd between me and the toys.
Hey everybody, I hear they're giving away free beer in the Hilton! (Though at that time of day, free lattes at Starbucks might get a better reaction...) :) |
