This build has a number of fixes and is hoped to be one of the last builds prior to release. Lightworks do have one remaining issue that they want to resolve prior to release, which is crackling during playback on audio files on Linux.

Re: Lightworks release date

The 9th Release Candidate of version 14.1 is now available to download.

https://www.lwks.com/index.php?optio...0469&Itemid=81

This latest build resolves an issue surrounding upload to YouTube on all platforms and introduces an H.264/MP4 export option (no upload) for Free users, which should help clarify the export options when Free users come to export. This covers something that some free users found confusing, in that you could select deselect the YouTube/Vimeo upload so that you only exported the video to a hard drive. A small number of fixes is also included.

Re: Lightworks release date

It has been decided to rename this new version of Lightworks V14,5, RC1 instead of V14.1 because of the number of new features added during development in beta testing.

https://www.lwks.com/index.php?optio...emid=81#171353

In this build there are several improvements with clicking on playback of audio files, as well as addressing a few regressions that have crept in.

Re: Lightworks release date

The second Release Candidate of version 14.5.0.0 is now available to download.

https://www.lwks.com/index.php?optio...2000&Itemid=81

This build introduces the ability to handle variable bitrate media correctly, added support for AC-3 audio in mp4/mov/m4v/m4a wrappers, support of variable frame rate files (.mov .mp4, .m4v) and new setting to the import panel for detecting variable frame rate media.

Also, it resolves several regressions introduced between builds.

This latest build should bring a close to the current 14.5 Beta Cycle as the audio clicking/echoing issue on Mac and Linux is now resolved. A release date will be set shortly after receiving confirmation that this audio issue is resolved.
