Can't believe no one has commented on these. Can't wait to see reviews. I'm in the market for a second camera and nearly bit the bullet on a HERO v2 but got wind of this... 21st of Sept they reckon. So i'll hold out and see. :) If Sony are better with their firmware updates and advertised features actaully being implemented... GoPro can kiss my..... and i'll get a Sony if it lives up to the quality expectations (and perhaps as a bonus the audio may be a touch better then a HD HERO/v2).

This camera is already being discussed in another thread in the POV camera sub-forum, so this could be the reason for the absence of comments here. But without the ability to shoot 25p or 50p, I guess the new Sony won't arouse much interest in 50Hz countries anyway.

The Sony will definitely get firmware updates, in the form of a slightly revised new model yearly.
