From the little I saw in the bts video & I sought out the trailer too, it doesn't suspend my disbelief. I have little faith that I would be transported into that "world" if I watched the entire movie.
I think this technique is probably better for a PBS documentary / non-fiction play, than a feature film. |

It will be interesting to see the photographs from the 1800's. I don't know how distracting the stage lit actors against outdoor backdrops will be, but as long as you accept you're watching a stage production with vintage sets I suppose it could work. Have to give them credit for trying something different.

Weren't the last three star wars movies basically all shot on green screen? So whats the difference? Instead of having a crappy looking animated background they have a crappy looking "historic" background?
