New ZOOM H6 looks much better than H4n

With Raw on the canons not yet having an good audio track solution I was looking for a better solution than my Zoom H4n to go with my dslr. I was surprised to see this new product which seem to have great specs on paper!

Looks interesting Ted and 24 bit is a feather in its cap.

Hoping they fixed the line input. On the H4N it is unusable with some mixer outputs due to signal level and resulting distortion.

Be interested to see a quality review compared to the H4n. We are looking for a external recorder for a few upcoming jobs.

I hope they have improved the preamp on this and power consumption, I'm not so happy with the H4n's performance in these areas.

Easily solved with a simple resistive pad. Audio levels are not quite rocket science.

Or they could just fix it and take that potential issue off the table.
