In Belgium there are still 3 dealers that sell at half the price, I don't get BM, are they so desperate they need to pull stunts like this? What about buyers that got the camera just before this pricedrop was announced, that must sting...

Well it is a way to reduce excess inventory. Other manufacturers have done price reductions/promotions then gone back up. Albeit none at 50% like BM. I suspect a new replacement is coming soon.
