Next Gen Consoles

This is not that new an idea its something that has been slowly happening as video games graphics have gotten better. PS3 and XBOX II should push the graphics to higher levels, the "holy Grail" is that audiences will watch a movie (probably digital cinema) then go play the game, the graphics being so good that it will feel as if in the movie itself.

I still think the graphics have some way to go, but its going in the right direction.

Another sign that HD acceptance is that these "next Gen" consoles are HD capable.

The future of cinema for Steven is selling his failed studio dream back to Universal. :-)

As for the Holodeck, it remains to be seen what patentable innovation Steven brainstormed on his back deck that the folks at ICT and Media Lab haven't been struggling with for decades.

Photonic energy can't be physical, that right there is where star trek went wrong (for today) but in the future it might be possible.

I think Spielberg should try inventing a good movie for a change.

JACK:

Remember that in the holodeck, it wasn't simply "light." The holodeck was like a big matter replicator, the same as those that made the food and the Earl Grey tea for the ship. It actually turned energy into physical forms, but it took great amounts of energy, which is why the forms could not continue to exist off the holodeck.

I am going to polish my rank pips now.
