New Panasonic camcorder, the AG-AC30

It's a small camera with built-in lights. It looks like it's using the body from the HC-X1000 I think it's HD.

It'll be interesting to see how well it compares to the AC90, hopefully better in low light with the slightly larger chip.

They say it's inexpensive, I'll be interested in what that number is too. AC90 is $1,500. But Sony's 1" NX100 is only $1,700 and from the tests I've seen, is amazing when it comes to high gain & low noise (something you probably can't get with a 1/3.1" chip).

The Australian Panasonic site lists the price as AUS$1999. That is roughly $1500 in US dollars.

A lot depends on how good the low light response is.

This is good for Canadians to know, as the Australian and Canadian dollars tend to be roughly equal in value, with AUD usually being worth slightly less most of the time.
