I like the dual cards slots , fps and the new larger battery. I am going to check it out on Monday at NAB "Hands on"

Pretty underwhelming when there's still crop factor in 30p (the frame rate I shoot for web content) and no 10bit HDMI.

I firmly believe they're way too scared to cannibalize the FS5 and FS7 to give the upgrades people want from the Alpha series.

You do understand this is a camera designed for sports *still* photographers, right? It is completely overwhelming for them. Sony has said this, over and over. They are after Canon professional still photographers. It is completely underwhelming as a phone too. I know that they tout what video capability it has, but it's really not the point.

We will see if they come up with a new A7 camera for people like you, who want to shoot video (10bit, UHD60p, whatever) from a smaller form-factor FF camera. I bet they do, with the new bigger battery and PDAF.

For still photography to have 20 fps with no viewfinder blackout and TOTALLY SILENT shooting with good battery life is amazing. A game-changer.

Yes. But I will say that product upgrades are coming much faster from Sony than from Canon or Nikon, so maybe the wait won't be long.

Also of interest is the fact that when new versions come out from Sony the old versions often remain "in the lineup" so prices for the previous versions don't tend to plummet. I bought another a6300 recently for $950 from B&H, after the a6500 was available. Not a lot less than what I paid for my first a6300 when the model first came out (about $1,000 if I remember correctly).

Here is an interesting accessory that folks might have missed:

NPAMQZ1K Multi Battery Adaptor Kit

Charges 4 of the new "Z" batteries very quickly. Price is high but includes 2 batteries. Can also be mounted on a camera cage or tripod to connect to an A9 for using 4 batteries for extended on-tripod or in-cage use.

The interesting part that you may not have heard is that this battery adapter kit supposedly works for using 4 of the new batteries to drive a camera that uses "W" batteries also (A7 series cameras).
