Panasonic LX-2 - 16x9 hd photo/video camera
 

OK , it's only 1280x720 @15fps but it's also a 10mp still camera which follows a highly regarded LX1 which produced some nice sd 16x9 video plus photos.

The specs say it offers 848x480 recording at 30 fps, which sounds like widescreen progressive SD Video to me. Would the Motion JPEG video be editable in any current mainstream NLE (e.g. FCP)?

Kevin- I think so. It's what the Lx-1 did and it's been out for a while. People/users at dpreview would be able to answer that question with more expertise . You can download a sample video there on the lx1 review and give it a try on your nle of choice. Kurth

Any QuickTime Motion-JPEG capable editor will work. FCP for sure.

What bit rate is the 720p video? I take it is only Motion Jpeg and not Mpeg4 or something else?
