Price Reduction for Apple Cinema Displays
 

Apple's 30" Cinema display are now priced at $1999. This is a $500 price reduction. Their 23" displays are priced at $999. A $300 price reduction.

According to one keen observer, the specs for Apple's 20" and 23" displays seem to have changed--for the better.

20" display: brightness bumped up; used to be 250 cd/m2, now 300 cd/m2

23" display: brightness bumped up; used to be 270 cd/m2, now 400 cd/m2

Also, both the 20" and 23" displays contrast ratio has been increased to 700:1. It used to be 400:1.

There is no apparent technical change in the 30" display.
