8x DVD+RW drives announced ?

Hi,

I'm looking for a new DVD writer and would like to buy one that
can handle the 8x DVD+RWs in this announcement.

CES: Verbatim to ship 8x DVD+RWs, prepares 8x DVD+R DL

http://www.tomshardware.com/hardnews/20050105_172245.html

The industry trend has been to announce drive abilities well before the availability of the media. I've been buying
Pioneer drives to date (A04 and A08), but they seem to be
very picky with regard to their IDE behavior.

Here is my list so far :

DVD-R DVD+R DVD-RW DVD+RW DVD+R DL
----- ----- ------ ------ --------
Pioneer DVR-108D 16x 16x 4x 4x 4x
BenQ DW1620 16x 16x 4x 4x 4x
MSI DR16-B 16x 16x 4x 4x 2.4x
NEC ND-3500AG 16x 16x 4x 4x 4x
Sony DRU-710A 16x 16x 4x 4x 4x
NuTech DDW-163
LG GSA-4160B 8x 16x 4x 4x 2.4x
LiteOn SHOW-1633s 8x 16x 4x 4x 2.4x
LaCie 16X d2 16x 16x 4x 4x 4x
Memorex
