Error using AVI and no audio on converted files in FCP 5

I'm testing out the clipwrap program before I buy it and having very partial success. I'm getting an "error finishing movie" message for all M2T files that I try and convert (even ones that are less than a minute) and
visuals but no sound when I import into FCP 5 on the ones that I'm 'rewrapping'. Thanks for any/all suggestions.
