Panama Missions Trip Documentary

I recently went to Panama with a youth missions team from my church. I posted an 8 minute documentary a little while back and i'm just now getting around to posting the long form version...which is a little less serious and more oriented to the youth that went....

...so if you have some time to waste...check it out...(it's broken into three segments...as it is an hour and twenty...)

Part 1: http://www.godtube.com/view_video.ph...b93792b735859f

Part 2: http://www.godtube.com/view_video.ph...0f8d2de7fd8da9

Part 3: http://www.godtube.com/view_video.ph...699a16e06a98ca

..and for those who have less time...here's the 8 minute doc...

Jeremiah:
Great job! We are hopefully going to film a mission doc in Haiti possibly next year. Thanks for the inspiration.

Jeremiah McLamb September 12th, 2007 10:20 PM

Wow...Haiti. That's a rough place. I know a few friends who do full time missionary work down there and they were recently kidnapped. Went through this huge ordeal and were finally released after a ransom was paid. I will keep you guys in my prayers..not only for your safety but that you accomplish great things through your work there.

Thanks

Hey Jeremiah, I didn't watch it all but saw enough to say I thought it was exceptionally well done!

I would be interested in what equipment you too with you and what your experience was as there are probably lots of folks doing this sort of work (ie. very little budget, no professional crew etc) but want a polished product like yours.

Thanks

Curt

Thanks Curt!

As for equipment and crew. I was a one man band. I took a Canon XH-A1, a Canon HV-10 and underwater unit, a Canon Rebel XT, a sennheiser G2 100 lav system, a sennheiser shotgun mounted on camera, and a bunch of tapes and batteries. I didn't take any kind of support system (tripod, steadicam). And budget?.....I wish!

Jeremiah,

I’ve only had time to watch Part 1, but had to chime in with the others in offering congratulations on a project that looks so well done it could be broadcast anywhere!

You’ve been blessed with loads of talent, plus you’ve probably put in the time to get better and better. Wonderful stuff. Thanks so much for sharing. :)

Re: Panama Missions Trip Documentary

My friends did a docu called Dear Panama while they went on a trip to Panama. I could link you if you guys wanted.

I'm currently in Germany working on a docu as well. :D New breed of missionaries who make films as their main reason for missions!
