Which Slider to Get??

Hello.

I'm in need of a nice 40-60" slider for my cameras - Sony PMW-300 and Canon 5D Mark III.
I already own a Dana Dolly, but it requires a team of at least 2 because of the mini combo stands that come with it.
I'm looking for something lighter that I can operate solo.
After reviewing many sliders out there I have narrowed it down to two -
1. Kessler CineSlider
2. Digital Juice Slyder Dolly
Both seem suitable for bigger cameras if I ever rent one.

The Kessler is more expensive (almost 700$ more for the same options), but has the option for future motion control, and the handle for more precise movement.

Does anyone has any experience with either of these?

Thanks,
Arbel.

Re: Which Slider to Get??

I just got the Kessler Cineslider (Traveler version) with the Oracle controller. Only had it a week and have been working out just what adapters I will need to get my camera attached to the plate. I have the high hat they sell, but my 75mm head won't fit on it properly (bolt on the head isn't long enough). I intend to use it mostly for timelapse with a Canon 7D and regular video shooting with a XF305. The Oracle controller can move the slider and fire the camera. The slider is very well-built. I think I read that it will hold up to 80lbs. I was up and running in no time, doing programmed moves. Plenty smooth. The motor gets a bit noisy when operated at higher speeds. I got the outrigger feet for it and am very glad I did. They allow setting it up on uneven terrain. There are some youtube video reviews that I found helpful for my decision. I like quality gear. Proaim seems to make copies of lots of Kessler gear for less money but I would expect their quality is not as good.
