I just did a quick search and it looks like Dale Backus is a member.
See this thread or this thread.

I just saw this commercial. Interestingly enough, before I read this thread and found it was shot with the HD100, I noticed the (unwanted) motion blur looked similar to the kind we get with this camera.

I missed it on-air and have only seen it online. Did the motion blur you mention look like 1/24th shutter or motion smooth? I'm hoping Dale Backus checks in and gives us the full technical details.

The on-air version is already posted on iFilm.
It is interesting that they added the disclaimer "Closed Course. Do Not Attempt" when he 'crashes' the car, but not when he rips the bag open.

I was mistaken. I thought the commercial this thread was referencing was the one in the supermarket.

There was a flag right before the normal 2 minute warning so this might have messed up the commercial sequence but as far as I can tell the commercial never aired.

I was searching the footage and didn't see anything but excellent motion.

Excellent to see the commercial on air.

I for sure watched this commercial during the Super Bowl so it "did" air. Just not at the 2 minute mark where they said it would. Kind of sad too because they built up the "hype" of the winning commercial before the 2 minute warning, yet didn't air it at during that window.

Did you TiVo or tape the game? I think it must have aired at some point before the half-time show.
I didn't witness it myself, but they must have aired it if Doritos bught the timeslot.

Out of all the ads, the budlight rock throwing was the best. The Doritos ad comes second place on my list. Just surprised to come home finding it was done with the JVC.

By two minutes, they must mean two minutes in to the game. It was one of the first to air.
