I have no idea what this is, or what I'm suppose to do, but I want to do it

Which has not been updated lately. I'll do that today, although I have no additional info on the current contest beyond what's been posted here on DVinfo.

(Dylan, shoot me an email if there's anything specific you want added to the web site).

Oops! Looks like I broke rule #5 with my opening title sequence.

Oh well, back to the editing room.

Ok. It has been indicated that I can join late, if so, I will try to: write a script, get a crew, get a cast, buy some tape, shoot some scenes, copy, edit, find some music, render something presentable...
all in the next 5 days. So, I am in (if i'm allowed).

This is gonna be AWESOME!!!

It'll be my first film competition!!!

Actually, it'll be my first creative endeavor!!! I've only ever done work stuff (boring!)

I'm crazy excited! Too bad KLM lost my luggage containing my tripod and fluid head just two weeks ago!! Then new set doesn't get here until Friday!!!

What can I say, I must enjoy the pressure.

At least I was able to scrible a script down tonight!!!

Don't bother counting all my exclamation points!!! I'm excited!!!

Must donate soon, that way I'll be motivated to actually shoot the dang thing!!!

Just a reminder to the late signer-uppers how nice it would be to donate to our charity cause...
Which you can easily do by Paypaling your donation to the_klenzer@hotmail.com
(note that it is the_klenzer with an underscore!)

The charity of the winner's choice will thank you for it!

I joined early but I will donate as well, any charity is worth it.

I'm just not familiar with using Paypal? (I've heard of it though)

Do you pay with a credit card? Is it safe to use?

Thanks,

Mike

I have used PayPal for many many years and I love it. Never had any problems at all. They claim to have 100 million accounts all over the world. Go to the website and sign-up, but not sure they can verify you real quickly. It may take a few days to a week, depending on how you do it.

When Paypal talks about "verification", they actually get information from you to make the process more automatic. I've never gone that route but still use the basic service.

Warning about "phishing": There are emails that comeout periodically saying they are checking on activity on your PayPal account. They will have a site to direct you to to sign in. DO NOT DO IT. They are trying to get your account id and your password.

If you ever have a question about your account, just go to the paypal site directly and check out activity..

When they do the verification they actually send money to your checking account twice, then you have to notify them how much was deposited. The amount is not much, less than a dollar each time.

After your account is verified you can send money to anyone else, with an account, within a few minutes. Many business are using this service also, and that is handy. I would reccomend you get verified, as it makes transactions instant.

If you choose to use a credit card it takes verification, and if you send an E-check it also takes many days to clear. I recently sold a camera to one of our members, and he sent teh E-check and it took a week to clear.

LAST NOTE: Don't ever reply to anyone or any site requesting your account information. Believe me, they already have it. If you recieve an email asking for your information, don't just delete it, forward it to the company i.e. PayPal, Ebay, B&H or whomever. They track down these phishers.

Mike
