HD Discussions
 

I'm confused. Where is the best place to post general discussions about HD that is NOT camera specific, or involves more than one camera.

It seems like the Panasonic HVX200 forum is getting most of this right now, but it's not consistent. I don't even look in DV... forums -- assume that those are are SD, miniDV DV. What's the most intuitive place for:

HDV vs HD
SD vs HD
Compare HVX200 with FX1 and Z1
HD vs Film
HD workflow
HD Distribution

The topics your listing are the tough ones, because they span our forums.

However, we DO have a general HD(V) forum, which is on HD(V) camera's:

I would at least put Compare HVX200 with FX1 and Z1 in there.

I would put HD distribution in our production forum if it is about how to get
the stuff on the market (logistically):

If you want to talk distribution in the form of what format to use technically
etc. I would use the following forum together with your HD workflow thread:

Certain "versus" threads may be suited to our Open DV Discussion because
it basically is a forum to talk about general things that don't really fall into
any category. Perhaps we should rename this forum "Open Discussion".

I will pass this thread on to the other wrangles, administrators and Chris.
Hopefully they have some more insights on solutions and possible changes
for the future to this board.
